ADULT BALLET

Absolute Beginners (Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6)

Suitable for adults of any age who have little to no prior ballet experience, knowledge of terminology, or the steps. These class offers adults the artistic pleasure of learning classical ballet, while developing a basic technique one level at a time.  Class intake for level 1 occurs at the beginning of each term during terms 1, 2 & 3.

Open Ballet

Suitable for adults who have become proficient in Absolute Beginners (levels 1 to 4) or adults of any age who have completed a reasonable amount of training in their earlier years, and enjoy a moderate to excellent understanding of ballet terminology and technique. This class is structured in the traditional manner, and provides the dancer with a diverse range of exercises, set to beautiful music.

Intermediate (Terms 3 & 4 only)

​Suitable for adults of any age who have a reasonable amount of ballet training, knowledge of terminology and the steps. This class offers adults the artistic pleasure of learning classical ballet, while developing a strong technique. Students in this class also participate in our end of year concert.

Pointe (Beginners to advanced)

Suitable for adults either of a beginners or more advanced standard. These classes are designed for those who are learning pointe for the first time, or who wish to build on existing experience.

Ballet for Seniors

Suitable for adults ages 55 and over who have little or no prior ballet experience, knowledge of terminology, or the steps, this class offers adults the artistic pleasure of learning classical ballet, whilst developing a basic technique. Exercises comply with a true classical technique, which strengthens and conditions the body, all while staying within the physical parameters appropriate for a senior dancer. 2024 Class Schedule
